John Watts is a first-generation U. S. citizen, as his father immigrated from the United Kingdom in the 1950’s. Mr. Watts attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1981. From 1981 through 1985, he was an active duty officer in the United States Marine Corps and obtained the rank of Captain. In 1988, he graduated from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama with the degree of Juris Doctor.
During the course of his practice in Savannah, Georgia, Mr. Watts has been counsel in litigation resulting in more than $10,000,000.00 in verdicts and settlements. Mr. Watts is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has been awarded a prestigious professional rating by Martindale-Hubbell, international legal directory.
